I have a Film VCD (23.976fps)and when i put it in the GE 1101P dvd player, it will play fine then randomly the video will suddenly speed up, then it will slow down to catch back up with the audio. Is this a fault of the player? How can I fix this? If i play it in a computer with media player it plays fine. Also the DVD player adds some red and blue blocks to the background of the vcd in some scenes, any ideas on this either? If it matters, the player is running through an rf modulator.

im not sure but perhaps you can convert the framerate to 29.9 fps with TMPGEnc so that it can play at regular speed.
