Please help newbee: GoVideo DVR4200

I just bought this player ans was delighted to find a region/macrovision hack for it on vcdhelp.com. However being as stupid as I am I can't decode these instructions. Here is the the text entirely:

Hidden status information. Includes firmware version.

Go to DVD mode.
Press Setup/Menu on the remote.
Go to TV Aspect and pick 16:9 Wide.
Hit the corners: type 1397139.
Hit Enter.

Note that this will reset your region code to region 1 (or probably whatever factory default you have, if not region 1).

Particularly, what does "hit the corners" mean? I just don't get it. When I type those numbers I do get to the Player's menu, but I don't see any way to change the region or remove macrovision. If anybody could help, that would be just great. Thanks.

I think it means it the corners of the number pad (i.e. 1 = top-left, 3 = top-right, 7 = bottom-left, 9 = bottom-right). So it was just saying that the number sequence you enter is laid out as the corners of the pad.
