  1. I'm having problems with the tmpgenc->nero method, it works but doesn't play in my DVD okater. But hey what I wanted to know is if I encode with Nero will the quality look worse(better) than if I encoded using tmpgenc, likes what the difference, will I lack something if I encode with Nero? Thanks and God Bless.

You may also want to try with some of the KVCD templates as well.

Do not buy another burner just yet. Download your templates, let TMPGEnc encode your files before you give them to Nero. Also, use CD-RWs to get the hang of VCD burning. They are reuseable, of course.

  6. Has to be my burner, i just wasted 6 cd's, cuz i tried something else sample.mpg and that still doesn't work on the DVD player or my computer! Don't work on my sister labtop either, an in VCD easy i try to burn and it says ERROROR: No driver found for 'Memorex CRW-1622' (Try to use "Force Driver" in the "CDRDAO settings" page, with 'generic-mmc' for example). I got the ASPI drivers and all.

  7. its a longshot but try downloading and installing the nimo lite codec pack then rebooting. the pack can be found in the tools section on this site
also can you tell us exactly, step by step how you are encoding and burning and what apps you're using?

  8. Strangest thing just happened, vcdeasy made a cue file, and I burnt the cue off of vcdeasy, popped it in my VCD player and it played! First time, but it's not the full, so if the cue off vcdeasy burns, shouldnt burning a mpg off of vcdeasy work? and why doesn't it work with nero?

  9. I am not sure if I got it right. Anyway your problem could be a wrong birate. Nero does not like non-complaint mpg.

  10. To answer your first question, TMPGEnc is a very good encoder, Nero is a crap encoder.
