    how do i comppress an avi fil to a smaller size?

    well if its for putting on dvd or something change it to an MPEG-2 FILE, trust me it works, and keeps the same quality too.
    DVD'S HAVE SOMETHING FOR US ALL, HELP AT THE FORUMS TO GET SOMEWHERE IN LIFE!

    Most likely, it is already compressed. If not, it's really easy anyhow.

    @chrisstemp
    some people (or applications) don't need it to be played on a DVD player, and either ways, it will not keep the same quality. About conversion to mpeg2, well, of course it can be done.
