Hi...
I have a question about DVD aspect Ratios.
Do all DVD's that have the same aspect ratio have the same amount of black bars on the top and bottom? Like if I looked at 2 different DVD's that said they were in 2:35:1 format, would that mean that both DVD's would have the same amount of black on the top and bottom of my tv screen?
Or for another example....I just bought the widescreen edition DVD of Spiderman. It says it is 1:85:1, and it has about an inch of black bars on the top and bottom of my tv. If I saw another DVD that was 1:85:1, would that mean it would have about an inch of black bars on my screen, just like Spiderman?
Thanks for any help, I'm just a bit curious.
Thanks so much!

1.85:1 is the actual size ratio of the movie. so if another movie is also 1.85:1 it should be the same exact size on your screen.
