Is there a way to just capture audio from VHS instead of capturing video and audio then I have to extract the audio ?? I don't want to capture the video. I just want to cap. the audio. Or maybe use sound recorder to record the sound ?? maybe ??

Connect the audio line-out plug of your VCR to your line-in plug on the soundcard of the computer. Tell windows to record from 'line-in'. Break open your copy of Musicmatch, tell it to record from 'line-in', press the record button on Musicmatch, press play on the vcr, and only press stop when you are finished.
Use another mp3 editor to edit the mp3 (I like mp3splitter) into tracks. -
I don't know why you would record to mp3 format. But he's right about using the soundcard. You Audigy will record fairly well. You just need an adapter to go from the 2 RCA jacks of the VCR to 1 stereo mini jack on the Audigy. Plug it into the line-in. Use a decent sound recording program like CoolEditPro, I think they have a free version. Save it as a .wav file. Then you should be able to use that for whatever you want.
