Was wondering how in the world to get my father's and grandfather's old 8mm and Super 8 silent movies converted to VCD... I've read elsewhere the one way to do it is to point the 8mm projector at the screen and your video camera at the same point and record it that way... When I do this, there is a lot of flicker... My guess is that the playback rate of the projector is different than the record rate of my video camera... The other way is to use a telecine... These seem to be a tad bit pricey... the other way is to pay someone to do it... Was wondering if anyone out there has any experience in doing this and if there is a good board (including this one) that describes, in detail the vaious processes for doing this?
Thanks,
James
