ok, so imported my english subtitles in to a project in maestro just fine, but whenever i play the movie the subtitles show up without me selecting them. I want the movie to play without them by default and then i can turn them on if i want.
This may be simple question but im dumbfounded why its not working...![]()

just a guess but make sure in the properties of your project that the
(set subtitle to) is unchecked.

yes all of that is as it should be.
the problem im having seems to be that the player plays whatever subtitle is in subtitle track 1. i managed to create a walkaround by moving all of the subs to track 2 and in 1 just put one subtitle with a "." in the beggining. This seems to work but im wondering how the pros do this, the original dvd seems to have all of the tracks in a secondary subtitle category, is there a way to insert something like that in maestro?? -
this is just a guess but it might be your DVD player. I have the Post MAN on DVD and have one DVD player that alway's play the SUB's and had other DVD that alway's played the SUB and always had to turn them off. Just try it on other DVD player and see what happen's
