  1. Hello, I have a simple question. I am thinking of importing in some Region 1 (ntsc) dvd's to play in the UK (region 2).

I have a region-free player. When i played some SVCD's with NTSC films on them, making them run in PAL made them jerky and I had to use NTSC.

    My question is this,

If i get some R1 dvd's, will I have the same problem as I do with my SVCDs - will they jerk unless i set it too NTSC (my tv doesn't always like NTSC).

    THankyou,

    Michael

  2. THIS WILL HAPPEN EVERY TIME YOU PLAY A NTSC DISC,TRY AND SET YOUR TV AND DVD PLAYER TO AUTO AND THIS SHOULD PLAY BACK THE REGION 1 DISC AT 29.97 FRAMES PER SECOND NOT 25 FRAMES PER SECOND AS IN PAL MODE.
IF YOU TRY TO PLAY A NTSC DISC IN PAL IT WILL STUTTER AND THE PICTURE MAY GO BLACK AND WHITE OR SIMPLY LOSE ITS COLOUR.
