  1. First off...

    My DVD player: Sony DVP-S330
    SVCD creator: DVD2SVCD

I created this SVCD with a 2530 video bitrate and 224kbps/48000hz sound.

The SVCD was fine, played perfect on my pc.

My DVD player doesn't play SVCD's, so I multiplexed the SVCD as a MPEG 1 VCD (non-standard) so my DVD player would read it.

Once it got going, I noticed the sound and picture were out of sync and some sound jittering, this annoys the hell out of me.

I checked this site's compatibility for my DVD player, and most reported it as having a maximum bitrate of 2500, lower than what I burned with. Could this cause the problem? Should I lower the sound to 41000hz? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You said that the player was reported to have a maximum bitrate of 2500, but you said you encoded the file at 2530

Also, the header trick isn't guaranteed to work with every player.

yea, I didn't know about the bitrate until afterwards (slaps forehead). And the trick seems to work, I will find out once I burn again with a new SVCD.
