I have a problem with the second disk skipping. What it does is it play the beginning of each chapter for a 1/2 second then skips to the next chapter.
Here is what I do to make my back-ups:
I use smart ripper 2.41 to split the DVD that are over 4.5 gb. I split the chapters in half (if possible) and put the first half in 1 folder and the second half in another folder.
I look at folder 1 and I delete everything except the VOB files. I then open IfoEdit v0.932 and run "Create IFO's". These work fine as I've never had a problem with disk one.
With folder 2, I do a little more. I start by deleting everything but the VOB files. Now because the second disk starts the VOB files later (like #3 or #4) I create blank text files and change their names to the missing VOB file names to fill in the gap. I then change the VOB number to add "00" in front of them. A sample might be:
VTS_01_001.VOB 0 KB
VTS_01_002.VOB 0 KB
VTS_01_003.VOB 0 KB
VTS_01_004.VOB 536,174 KB
VTS_01_005.VOB 1,048,574 KB
VTS_01_006.VOB 1,048,574 KB
VTS_01_007.VOB 25,498 KB
And then run VOBEdit and convert them to:
VTS_01_1.VOB 1,048,424 KB
VTS_01_2.VOB 1,048,096 KB
VTS_01_3.VOB 562,300 KB
I then run IfoEdit the same as above.
I then finish it off by burning the DVD with Nero 5.5.10
Any suggestions or Ideas about the Chapter jumping would be helpful and much appreciated.
