  1. Hi,
Need some help here. I have successfully captured to using ASUS Live under Win98 2yrs back with this hardware. Recently, upgraded to WinXP and ASUS Live wont run. After much trail n error and reading the posts here, finally settled on Nvidia WDM v1.08 and iuVCR. However, my captures are all in B/W (fr an old Video8 analog videocam, PAL). Would greatly appreciate any advice here.

PS: Have tried to hack my driver to PAL but to no avail as suggested by a post.

Noticed that my input signal only supports UYVY. No other formats are found in my windows dir and only UYVY is installed by the Nvidia WDM. Could this be the reason? How can I overcome this?

Are you using an S-Video cable to input your video? If so, try changing the video source setting in your capture program -- by default, WDM uses the composite connection for video input, and if you are using S-Video, the video will be b/w until you switch. If you are in fact using composite input, I don't know what could be wrong as I've always used S-video

  3. Sorry... did not furnish complete info. Am using S-video and have set the input signal to S-video in iuVCR.

  4. I have solved my problem by switching input signal fr S-video to Composite. Think it a misunderstanding on my part. My old videocam was outputting composite but this is fed into my video card S-video via a adapter cable. So, the original input source should still be Composite. Thanks to u, HillJack, for your kind advice.

Off to capture the video of my new daughter
