    I just got the external sony 500ul and it works fine except for the fact that Nero is not recognizing it. I'm using 5.9.9.9. When I go to autodetect under the extra tab, I see it, but I it will only allow you to run the autodetect with the Nero CD, which I do not have. Can someone please help me out or let me know if they have any ideas. Thanks a lot.

    Scaronelly, the Nero version you are using must be 5.5.9.9, because that version i think never existed! Try 5.5.9.17 or the latest 5.5.10.0

    Sorry, the version is actually 5.5.9.9. I do not understand why it does not automatically recognize it.

    It doesn't recognizes it because it wasn t in the burners db on nero until 5.5.9.17 update your nero and it will work
