    HI!
Now I got this problem.I live in Sweden so does it make any difference if I choose PAL or NTSC?
I mean, does it not depend on which it was encoded to?
    Example,I have a movie with framerate: 23,976.
    Should I take NTSC then?

    Another question.
I have a xvid movie and what should I have for seetings in TMPGEnc?Should it be Interlaced or not and which apect ratio should I choose?

PAL is if you live in Europe and NTSC is if you live in North America. Since you live in Sweden (Europe), your framerate would be 25fps (PAL) instead of 29.97fps (NTSC) or 23.976 (NTSC-Film). Also, since the movie you have is 23.976fps, You would have to do a framerate conversion. Since 23.976fps and 25fps are so close together, your video will only be a few seconds faster after the framerate conversion. You wouldn't notice the difference between the two after the conversion.

    Hope That Helps!!! :P 8)

I have encoded a movie before and havenīt cared to convert a NTSC movie to PAL and it worked too.
But if I convert a NTSC movie to PAL then do I have to choose a subtitle with 25pfs too?

You could try make it as NTSC film cause most newer tvs and dvds support both formats in europe.

I usually try to leave the frame rate alone or as close to the source as possible because my DVD player likes everything. And if you don't change the frame rate in TMPEGnc I think it encodes faster (checkbox option to leave framerate alone).
