Hello all. I am new to this hobby so I was reading Raptor's wonderful guide ( http://www.digital-forums.com/dvd2dvdr/intro.htm ) in hopes of figuring out making back up copies of my favorite DVDs. I started off by downloading the software list which Raptor used in the tutorial.
DVD Decrypter v3.1.2.0 (Found it)
DVD2AVI v 1.76 (Found v1.77.3)
TMPGEnc Plus v2.56.39.143 (Found v2.59.47.155)
ChapterXtractor v0.961 (Found it)
Spruce DVDMaestro v2.9.2915a (Could NOT find anywhere)
Gear Pro DVD 6.02 rc07 (Could NOT find anywhere)
What I need to know where would I find these 2 programs in which I could not find? Is there a substitute for these 2 programs which may be easier to find which would work as good?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Take care,
Scott[/url]

You can use SpruceUp instead of DVDMaestro. You can download it from here:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd-r_tools/spruceup.cfm
As for the burning software... I use RecordNowMax, works perfect for me. Others on this forum have different preferences which work as well. Perhaps one of them can suggest something better.
Hope this helps!

DVDs I have burnt with Gear and Nero won't play on my Pioneer-454.
DVDs burnt with VOB Instant CD/DVD has played fine using default settings. I have also read that RecordNow MAX burns fully compatible DVDs as well.
