hey guys, i am new to this vcd encoding and have only done a couple so far. i have a question that arose today when i was trying to make a vcd on just one cd with tmpg as per the guide on this website. no matter what bitrate i set it to, the file seems to be the same size no matter what and i followed the instructions carefully. i am trying to make the vcd from an avi file. if anyone has had this work or knows what could be the mistake i am making, please let me know. thanks a lot.

Be sure to use tmpgenc 2.58 or older(it is a known bug in tmpgenc 2.59, will be fixed in next version). And be sure to select video cd(non standard) under settings.

so the older version works better than the newer one? i thought the newer versions of software were supposed to be better. well, i am not sure what version i have right now but i will check later. if that's the case, where can i find the older versions of tmpgenc? By the way, i was using the non-standard vid cd. thanks
