I've seen so many ones with cracks in them that also sometimes damages the CD or DVD inside, I'm wondering if there are any that are really hard to break.

Does anybody know if there is such a thing? And where I could get them at a reasonable price?

Ikea stores (in Canada anyway) sell softer, more flexible type jewel cases that won't crack or shatter for about 25 cents a piece.

I found their website, but saw no CD cases in the on-line store.

I'm in the southern US, so I can't go there to look at them.

They sound good though. And a Google search turned up "clamshell" shapes cases that were said to be pretty strong. But I'd like to compare on-line prices. And prefer a more square/stackable shape, really. I wonder if there are other types of strong cases that are more rectangular.

Does anyone know of websites that sell other cases somewhat stronger than the standard jewel case?

    yes, that looks pretty good.

(I wish I could get a better look at it)

I've found some talk about polypropylene CD cases. I bet that's one.

Anybody know where to get them....but not on an auction?

Walgreen's and Staples in Southern US (at least FL) carry plastic clamshells for dirt cheap in blue, yellow, purple, pink and clear. Its all we (a college) use besides paper sleeves.

  7. Not sure if this would fit your needs, but I have just gone to the black CD books, like the "Conductor" ones from Wally World. They have a single wide one that holds 72 CD's or DVD's, and the giant double wide ones that hold 200.
Great for a personal collection, not so good for distribution or whatever.

I now have a bunch of empty CD cases, sleeves, whatever, but since I usually buy spindles now, these books are great.

  8. For my vcd, (because i'm cheap) I go to blockbuster and ask for there left over dvd cases they normally give me 20 or 30 at a time. They just throw them out anyway.
