Has anyone else has a problem with Nero 5.5.10.0 and Sony DRU-500A with firmware 'f' and creating multisession DVDs? It seems to be stuck on "disk-at-once" (DAO).

    From "New Compilation":

    DVD-ROM (ISO)

    "Multisession" Tab:
    Start Multisession disc

    "ISO" Tab:
    Iso level 2
    format (greyed out)
    ISO 9660
    Joliet checked
All three Relex ISO Restricts checked

    "Burn" Tab:
Note that the "write method" is greyed out.

I'm not sure if the problem is that I can only write as DOA (Disk at once) and not by track. Everything else I try in Nero seems to work with this drive. I've heard some say that Nero does support this drive now, but I have the latest, and there compatiblilty list does not show the Sony DRU-500A. Just wondering if others where having this issue. It's hard to fill a DVD sometimes, and would like to add to it.

    You should try 5.5.9.17.
5.5.10 seems to have lil bugs (again).

I founnd another post with the answer. I did a quick format on my rewritable dvd+rw before I started the multisession. I should have clarified that I was using DVD+/-RW media and not just standard write once. I need to test, but it seems like I couldn't multisession a write once disk too, but I'll have to verify that.

Normally the burnprogram should check the media and (quick-) format it before writing onto it if thats needed.
With all my -RW & +RW discs it happens this way - using Nero 5.5.9.x.
