  1. I have some data file that is 780MB big and it will not fit on a 700MB CD when I backup using Easy CD 5 Creator. After zipping it, the file size still 720MB which still bigger than 700MB.

PS: I can't split the file into multiple files.

Can someone please if there is any tool to allow me to backup a 720MB file onto a CD ?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Regards

  2. Since this is the VCDHelp forum, is your data MPEG? If so, burn it as a VCD/SVCD. Even if it's not compliant to the standards, you can still get up to 797 MB on a 80min CD-R and read it on a computer.
You could also buy a good CD-R (I strongly suggest Platinum if can get one) and use overburning? 730 MB (~83min) are burnt on a Platinum CD-R without a problem.

Try to post in the correct forum in the future.

I assume that you are just using data?

    Two options:
    (1) try using better compression (e.g., RAR)
    (2) if that still isn't enough so that you can overburn it safely, then use larger media (i.e., 90 min discs).

    Regards.
