...just made a 720 x 480 copy of Unbreakable on two CDs with DVD2SVCD frameserver settings on Advanced, then burned the bin/cue files with Nero. This thing looks fantastic, both on the computer screen and on my stand-alone Apex 1100W. Too bad I just bought a new model TDK DVD+R/+RW burner over at Best Buy last night

BTW, DVD has hit critical mass --- at 8pm last night the players were flying out of Best Buy --- I was inline at the cashout register for half-an-hour, and I saw ten DVD players go through in my lane only! Pile after pile of DVD players stacked up in the aisles --- from $50 to $300.

You were able to get the movie onto 2 CD's at 720x480? I do CVD which is 352x480 onto 2 CD's. I just want to make sure that you are saying 720x480 when you mean 352x480, because then I am doing something wrong because I do the exact same setup (aside from the 720x480), burn with nero and put it into my apex 1100w (demacroed and region freed). Please confirm and let me know your settings because I have going about this all wrong then.

I'm at work right now, but I'll check my Unbreakable copy this evening when I get home and tell you if it is "truly 720 X 480". The fact that I was able to burn the whole movie on 2 disks makes me suspect that something is screwed up here. I'm wondering if DVD2SVCD overwrote my settings when it created the iso files. I'll check the files on the disks themselves with an editor and tell you what I find...
