I got a Kworld TV tuner card and am having a devil of a time with it. I have a Pentium 4/1.7ghz. It is a dual boot system - W98Se and XP home edition. I finally got the card to work with both OSs, but when I try to run WinDVR I get a message that it encountered a problem and has to close - it mentions MFC42.DLL. I've wiped everything associated with this program out and reinstalled it. I get the same results with 98 or XP.
This card came with 2 CDs - exactly alike. The manual mentions ULEAD VIDEO STUDIO. Does it come on a second CD that I didn't get?
I've recorded with the TV tuner program, but it's 20+ gig per hour. There is no option for compression on the video captere setup page.
I've tried Virtualdub, but don't know was compression to use - I want to make VCDs and would like to go directly to mpeg 1. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
