    Looking to buy a player that plays all and i'm planning on making it region free.

    tell me your experiences or recommendations...price around $100 dollars.

    I like the SAMPO 631CF because it has many things not found on most players. I bought mine for $109 incl 20 rebate. Extremely simple to update to region free, but a little daring is required to make Macrovision free. See site: www.area450.com for info.

    I also have an APEX AD 3201 which is hard to find now, but I bought it for $109. You can make it region free & Macrovion free with just the remote ! However, I don't like the slow response time to command/buttons, & the DVD seems to hestitate like it is reading another layer too frequently. Can't beat the price or ease of modification.

    rather Sampo sounds good to me if it is stable...

    I would have to find out what macrovision is all about...don't have any clue about it...
