Hi there,
well, I got a few questions and, of course, the best place to ask are the VCD forums...
This is what I want to make : Burn a SVCD out of a DVD rip and have Greek (only) subtitles in it...
1) Does the standalone DVD player need to have SVCD-subtitle compatibility to see the subs on the TV, if they are permanent on the screen (not being able to switch them on and off) ?
2) If I want to be able to switch the (Greek only) subs on\off, should the standalone DVD player have SVCD sub compatibility to play it ?
3) Do the VCDs support subtitles ?
Thx in advance for the answers.

to keep it simply:
1: yes (though its part of the (s)vcd standard; sub support i mean)
2: yes (see 1)
3: yes (same as above
un-asked 4: the only program i know which can do it is I-Author; which unfortunally has no demo; and i dont know anywhere to find it (without it costing money). though if you find another way, the program (or decide to buy it), please contact me, cuz i am very interrested.
good luck
