  1. Hi!

I have two dvd video players (Pioneer 717 and Panasonic RV-32). All the DVD-R backups i have made works well with the Pioneer but with the Panasonic only the layer 5 works (identic copy)! The ones (layer 9) i have splited in two DVD-R doesn't work with the Panasonic. It gives a message "Disc Not Identified".
I burn with Nero 5.5.9.17 and i've tried DVD-Video and DVD (UDF/ISO) but the results are the same. I'm also using IfoEdit 0.94 and Smartripper.
    I have Pioneer DVD-R A05.

    Anyone can help?

    Thanks.

  2. Ok, i've found the problem. The Panasonic only works with discs in the UDF format. Video mode and UDF/ISO doesn't work, only UDF. Since the Pioneer works with all, i'll burn mines only in UDF.

  3. Hello I have a Panasonic Rv-32 also, and I seem to be having the Same problem that you have, I was wondering are u sure that UDF/ISO didnt work, because that seems to be the one that works for me.... I tried to use UDF 1.02 via burning in nero with that, and that gave me a no disc error, and u were right the identical copies seem to work beautifully, and I did UDF only of my own ripped stuff, and I noticed it skipping in the end of the movies, and I was wondering if u know anyway to fix that.

  4. Well, i have 2 copies only in UDF 1.02 and they work very fine with the Panasonic. The UDF/ISO i have tested 2 times too and they both didn't work. I don't know if it is possible that the same DVD model can have some differences (i bought mine here in Portugal)...
I have a skipping and pixels problems at one disk, but i think it was a problem of DVDXCopy because at the start of the second disk it plays a little of the start of the movie (that is in the first disk)!!!! This is really a crazy thing
I am waiting a "post supply" of DVD-R media. When it arrives i'll start burning again and let know about this things.

    Greetings,
