    We went to Best Buy and the guy said that if you wanna rip a DVD to another DVD (not directly, and you need the software for the encriptions thing) you need a DVD-ROM drive and a DVD-RW drive, is this true? We only have DVD-RW

    Another question I have is since I don`t have the DVD-ROM drive could I still be able to rip my DVD`s to VCD? I will be using Nero 5.0 it that helps.

    One Drive is enough as you always rip to the Hard drive first anyway.

    Yes you need to Decrypt the DVD. (smart ripper, dvd-decrypter)
