If one wants an SVCD movie, and is recording from the TV for example,
which would render a better quality movie.....
a dvd quality dvd movie that is then reduced to SVCD ?
or recording directly to SVCD, then burning to a CDR ?
I'm not sure on this, and wondering about it....
thanks in advance
Mark

This depends on the settings used in the compression of course but in general a DVD picture should be better than a TV broadcast. The proof is in the pudding.
