    Had a quick question... I don't feel like going through and reading every comment and stuff about the DVD Players... What player out there can do all that my el-cheepo Apex can do? This thing plays it all!! Perfectly!! Is there something else that can do the same but play retail DVD's with better picture quality?

    i just got a pacific dvd1002 from asda (uk) for £70 and it plays everything iv got ie:dvd, vcd,svcd,mp3 , its a nice looking unit , very small too.

    Philipps DVD-724 or Philips DVD-623 will play just about anything.

    Alba DVD114 from argos £69.95. Its in the catalogue as a 108 but the are supplying the 114 as a replacement. This is a superb player that plays just about everything.

    hey, what kind of Apex player do you have, cuz' i'm looking for a DVD player that will play ANYTHING...
    I've got an APEX AD-1100W
    Got it for 60 Bucks, it's played everything i've thrown at it so far. Surprisingly, it will even play a data cd with MPEGs on it. The remote control's kinda funky at first, but that doesn't matter to me.
