VCD and audio on 1 cd

I'm trying to compile something like a cd-extra (tried using the wizard in nero but my player didn't recognise there was a video)

I've got 4 audio tracks and 1 mpeg video which I would like to play in a standalone dvd player, i tried it using nero, but the player just reads 4 audio tracks and nothing else.

Am I being silly or is it just not possible?
