how long??

hi,

how long does it take to convert a divx movie(about 1.5 hour and 700mb)
to a mpeg file i tried it but after 8 hours it converted about 20 minutes.
i think something is wrong.

What kind of mpeg file. If you want it for a vcd, for 1.5 h movie would take me about 1.2h and for dvd (mpeg2) about 4 hours. I use TMPEGnc

As stated above, TMPGEnc should do it somewhere between 1:1 and 1:2 - that is, 1 min of actual video = between 1 and 2 minutes of processing time. It shouldn't take longer than 3 hours.

What program are you using to do it ?
