    If your encoding is it okay to still use your computer. Will it mess it your encoding file?

    you can, but you will not be able to really do anything. Encoding uses all free cpu power.

    no not that long, depending on cpu processor, and the re-encoder
    you are using 8-24 hrs with rempeg/tmpg
