    CCE hangs after ripping a dvd with smartrippper 2.28.
    Doing a multipass vbr the 2nd pass insn't completed:
    "couldn't read from avs-file."

    Is it the ripper or could it be another problem?

    I had this problem also. USe the latest version of smartripper which i think is 2.31 or something like that or even better yet use dvd2scvd and rip your dvd with it and your shouldn't have a problem.
