  1. HEy all, I am losing all hope.
I am have been trying for days to convert my dvd to an NTSC vcd in time to watch for Christmas. I am really lost. I have ripped the files from the dvd and I am currently converting it to .AVI using dvd2avi. I did not change any settings or force FILM. However I am confused about what to do now. I have a file that I can convert to mpeg and burn, but it is not running smooth like it should be. Any ideas on how to fix this problem. Any help would be great.

  2. let me just make my problem a little more clearer as my first post was kinda vague. I have a region 0 PAL DVD of RING (A pretty good flick by the way). I used smart ripper and followed the classic guide's directions. I ripped 4 .vob files. here is were I am stuck. I used dvdtoavi and created an .avi movie. I didn't change any setting (no FORCE FILM or sound changes) and I compressed using microsoft codec 4 I believe. When I viewed the .AVI file i had no sound, horrible picture, and a fps count of around 23 instead of 25. I have no idea what to do now. My ultimate goal is to make a vcd or svcd that I can watch on my NTSC television. Any help in enabling me to make this work would be greatly appreciated. I have smart ripper, DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc, and nero. Once again thanks for any and all help in advance.
    Have a safe Holiday. 8)
