i have the following problem using dvd2dvdr, when the rip is complete and cce is started, the vaf file is created after that cce starts transcoding to the new m2v file here i get an error (various between1 and 10%) saying: cce encoding failed: error: video checksum is different than that of previous pass. source video data or time code may be different. Please check video tape or the information file. Information : current: checksum=0121d016, previous: checksum=0121d018. the checksum numbers are different with different dvd's . This message only apears when using multipasses . anyone has any ideas how to fix this, i've unloaded all background programs like virusscanners etc. tried to uninstall and reinstalling cce and dvd2dvdr. i'm using windows xp pro.

Have you read the documentation that comes with the software? It is covered in the FAQ. This is purely a hardware issue. There is a patch to disable the checksum checks, as they really don't serve any purpose, especially when using an automated process like you are doing.
