ATI tv format

Bought my ATI AIW 128 Pro 32MB card where tv transmission was PAL. I could watch tv using this card, but now in NTSC region I am unable to select NTSC as format - the format entry box is grayed out & shows PAL. Is it not possible for me to watch tv on my pc with this card ?

if you go to setup under tuner or display and click 'initialization wizard' you can select a new country. just pick one with the same NTSC standard you're in, (either US or Japan mostly), and re-autoscan the channels. this changes the greyed-out box from NTSC to PAL-M under video when i changed mine to brazil. but whether the PAL tuner can actually pull in the stations, i don't know. i can tell mine is at least trying, since my channels look a little different and they're not all there.

I tried your advice, but in initializing wizard, i donot see Canada (or US also)as region. so i clicked VIDEO tab & selected NTSC as standard. I do get video signals but just like playing pal cassette on ntsc tv. am i wrong somewhere ? by the way i watch ntsc & pal both cassettes using this changing method, but when it comes to tv, i am unable to do so.pl help in solving this problem. thanks
