I'm trying to import some video clips into Adobe Premiere; however, AP gives me an error saying that the video compression used in the clip is unsupported (these clips are .WMV's). Do I need to run the clip through some sort of program to compress it/reformat it? I noticed that AP does accept or recognize clips in Quicktime format. Is there a way to convert my .avi's to Quicktime? Thanks!

The .WMV format is good for delivery of media, but poor for editing. Premiere is particularly sensitive to what it will accept. I would ULEAD or TMPGEnc to see if they will re-encode. The results are usually pretty poor.
