Over the past month I have installed and uninstalled several full and trial programs before settling on the ones I now use regularly. I've noticed that, in the programs that have an option for Capture Source or capture Device (e.g., Vegas Video), there's a blank line included in the drop-down list. If I click on that line, I get a message: The device"" is not available.
I'm assuming the unnamed deviced is some capture codec left over from a program I tried and then uninstalled. The presence of the blank line doesn't seem to affect anything I do, but it's just kind of annoying.
Is there any place I can try to look to uninstall whatever that device is/was. I've looked in XP's Device Manager and don't see anything obvious.
Thanks for any information.
