i just ripped star wars episode 2. i used smart ripper and frameserved to tmpgenc. the problem is when i encode it, i end up with some problems when something moves. there's like a scanline shadow following what is moving.
this is what i mean. can someone help me?

nevermind. i found the way to fix it. thanks for all your replies.

i assumed u forced film in dvd2avi and encoded in tmpgenc as 23.976 fps + 3:2 pulldown, right?
also, (at least w/ region 1), the subtitles during alien talking is not hardcoded into the video itself, so if u want them to show up, you have to use additional proggies to add it (like regular subs)
dunno, could be the pic u posted, but it looked kinda squished vertically -
yeah that was the problem. i forgot to force film. i don't really mind about the subtitles. about the pic. it does kinda look squashed. but it looks correct in full screen.
