Hi!
I just recently bought a Sony kv28ls60 TV and a Centrum Gemini 200 DVD-player. When I set the DVD output signal to RGB the picture becomes too red.
So I take my DVD-player to my friend's house to try it on his Sony kv32fx20e TV and it works fine with RGB as the output signal. OK, reasons I, hence my TV must be the problem.
So I take his old DVD-player, a Toshiba SD2109 (I think) to my place and hook it up to my new TV set and RGB signal works perfectly! NO redness! Perfectly crisp image and color balance is fine.
Now I'm confused. Seems there is a compatibility problem between my player and TV-set.
How common is this? Has anyone heard of this before? Is there anything I can do but to look for a different player? Or should I go for the last resort and call an excorcist?
Would be great if someone could give me some info on known collision issues in terms of DVD player hardware or software or whatever it is (I'm a newbie when it comes to these things) and my new TV. Can the fact that the TV is a 100Hz set be a problem?
Please help me. Very grateful. Thanks.
/rizla
