pioneer 105 on g4 450/OSX?

Im wondering if Im going to have problems with the Pioneer 105 Im getting for christmas, according to the posts on appl.ecom the Pioneer 105 is not compatible witht eh currents G4, so Im wondering if someone can give me any hints or tell me a happy story about these two togheter

For drive type select "DVD-R DVD Recorder"
Drive brand "Pioneer"
Interface Type "IDE"

Leave Mac model blank and select your OS if you wish.

Apple added support for that drive with the 10.2.2 update (iTunes/Disc Burner) and according to some of those reports, Toast and iDVD works too. Not sure about DVDSP.

I have the pioneer A-05 and no problems at all, rips, burns, rocks...

forgot to say the A-05 is in a Summer '02 DUAL 1GHz G4.
