I got this DVD player in 1999 and have heard mixed reports of it playing VCDs and SVCDs. I was looking at the LCD of it and it has the VCD and SVCD letters on it. I did the firmware trick and found I have Firmware 1.4, and it says VCD: off. Is there anyway to turn it on?
