  1. AS smallpox vaccination for the public comes closer, many experts say the risky vaccine should not be offered to children and teenagers, even on a voluntary basis.

Yes, in this case you make a valid point. The smallpox vaccine is not exactly a safe thing.

THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL VACCINES

  3. OK, if this is not safe then why is it mandated to police, military etc, and most likely it will be mandated to the general public at some point. Why is it that they want to inject this stuff into people at any cost ? What are their sinister plans ?

You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning.

  4. As I pointed out in the other thread relating to this subject and quoted an Associated Press article that ran on both CNN and Yahoo! only 15 out of 1 million people vaccinated ever face life threatning side effects from the vaccination. Of these only 2-3 will die.

Now compare that to actually contracting the smallpox vaccine with a 30% fatality rate. That means 300,000 would die

Gee now, what a hard choice to decide.

If you want to check the figures yourself I recommend.

HEY RCC,IF YOU ARE PARANOID DON'T GET VACCINATIONS FOR YOU OR YOUR FAMILY!
THEY ARE VOLUNTARY AND IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN YOU CAN SIGN A WAIVER.

  6. If the US ever becomes a target of a smallpox terrorist attack, I can tell you that you will definitely want to be or have been vaccinated against smallpox.

The issue of whether or not everyone should be vaccinated is a matter of RISK vs. SECURITY. Your chances of getting small-pox "in the wild" is ZERO as it doesn't exist anymore (except as samples in a number of laboratories -- and also likely in some bioweapons facilities). Thus, vaccination should only be given (in the current context) if a smallpox terrorist attack is anticipated / likely. How likely this is is hard to tell.

@ rcc: I suggest that it is time that you read some history. People don't give vaccines for the hell of it, and there isn't some hidden conspirarcy. The "agenda" is clear. It is to eradicate these specific infectious diseases. Smallpox is a clear success story for vaccinations. Smallpox killed millions of people before a vaccine was available. It is because of an aggressive vaccination program that we basically now don't need the smallpox vaccine as it has been completely erradicated in the wild.
