  3. I got the same result when I tried to convert my 705MB divx movie into svcd. I got the final svcd file size 2.4GB

You can always lower the quality for svcd if you want smalller size, but that's bassicaly all. You did well, and got the good size, now you can burn on dvd-r

    Hi
With DivX 9 times out of 10 you need to strip the audio first.
Then convert it to wav. Then place the avi video file and the converted audio file in TMPGEnc and it'll do the rest.
The file shouldn't be as big.
Although remember standard SVCD is about 40 mins per CD.
So if your film is 2 hours it will take 3 disks.
