Ulead Movie Factory Chapter Points

I am looking for a resolution to a problem I have with setting Chapter Points within Ulead Movie Factory.

Whenever I import an MPEG 2 file the chapter point Icon on the right hand below the preview screen is greyed out. This does not allow me to set Chapter Points.

If I use an AVI file I can set chapter points, but an MPEG file, no!

The MPEG files I have experimented with are files that have been encoded from AVI using TMPGenc or hardware encoded MPEG files from a Wintv PVR-250 capture board.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

It works for me...I did one today...but let me take a shot in the dark...

How did you encode it to an MPG-2 format? Did you encode it for SVCD or DVD use? Are you going into DVD Movie Factory using the same format?

I have the same tvcard and by my dvd workshop 1.2 the chapters are grey, so i can't use the chapters.

I have captured from a analoge camera with tv pvr 250 to dvd format standard play. I wan't to convert it to svcd or vcd with ulead dvd workshop.

I generally experience problems setting chapter points in Movie Factory from PVR250 MPEGs. I was able to set chapters but it just took so long as the program seemed to hang for 5 minutes then suddenly it would come back for each and every chapter !!. I eventually gave up and I now use DVD Workshop and it works fine.

Surfer, sorry if this is stating the obvious but you are dragging the MPEG to the Title Play and not the First Play Thumbnail? You can't set chapters on the video file that is used for First PLay.
