Hi!
My intention is to reencode the m2v movie to a lower bitrate so it fits on a DVD-R. I reencoded the Movie and imported it with the un-reencoded AC3 file together into DVD SP. I burned the DVD, but when I try to make FFW or REW on the Standalone Player the Audio forwards but the Video stands still and keeps still while audio plays correctly at the forwarded position.
I read that there is something with GOP or else. How can I make settings in FFmpX so that this problem does not occur????
I remember last week I encoded a Movie (i think it was reencoded in MMT I don't know enymore) and it worked fine while playing back and pressing FastForward.
Can you give me an advice? I use FFmpgX and MMT, not the Quicktime6-Mpeg-2 encoder cause Quicktime does not recognize the ripped M2Vs from OSex (but encoder is correctly installed!)
Thanks!
Markus

Sometimes i had issues with ffmpeg and DVDSP
try to re-encode the original movie with mediapipe works better -
It appears that Mediapipe and AfroPic both allow CLOSED GOPs with a GOP header at the beginning of each GOP. A closed GOP and GOP header are needed to enable chaptering or entrypoints in DVD Studio Pro. Although I love ffmpegX, it lacks this option.
