I have heard varied reports about the impact of putting paper labels on DVD disks (I use +R). I have also "heard" that you should put foil labels on disks so as to not put them out of balance and cause any read problems.
Is this hogwash, or is there some truth here?
Aren't DVDs pretty much the same as CDs?
With the current price of blank media, I do not want to make any errors...

i have been using paper labels from neato mediaface software and i have had no problems...

I've only labeled a few disks, and have NOT have any playback issues. Others warn not to use them, but until I can afford a thermal CD/DVD printer, I will continue to use labels.
