just burnt my fist VCD, worked well, but image quality is low because i scanned them as 75dpi jpeg. unable to find suggestions or info for picking resolution, dpi and file format to get the best images on VCD. could experiment and probably will but thought Id ask here 1st.

200 dpi or 300 dpi for 5x7 photo should be great.
JPEG is "the" format. JPEg has variable compression ratio.
So, pick "high quality" or "low compression" or "90%" on the option slide bar.
