I did a video capture of a short film which was on Tv the other night, i captured it at 640*480, and it was in widescreen so it captured the black bars aswell.
I cropped it in TMPEG, but when i watched it again, it still had the black bars, i guess the program just went over the top of them. I still have the original file, and now the problem is compressing it down to a better size. I was hoping to get it to about 20-40mb compressed, and still good quality. I tried Virtual Dub and picked Divx 5 as the compressing codec, but the file was still in the hundreds MB. can someone please help me on compressing this file?
