Been banging my head against the wall for awhile here...
I am copying The Abyss and I would like my end result to be 2 DVD-R's with perfect quality (no encoding) and with my own custom menu at the beginning of each part. I put up a simple .bmp pic with a start button on the start of every movie I backup using Maestro. I strip away the warning and all extras and the original menu crap. I have tried the following tutorials in an attempt to get .m2v and .ac3 files into Maestro:
http://www.doom9.org/ (Guides->Split a DVD to 2 DVD-Rs)
http://www.fukrulez.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=11&page=1
http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/127933.php
The first disk awlays works fine but the second DVD-R always has an audio sync problem. If I try using Smartripper or DVD Decrypter to DEMUX the .m2v and .ac3 files from either the IFOEdit split directories or DVDxCopy directories or the burned copies, Maestro always gives a parsing error, so I end up using ac3fix.exe to repair the apparent faulty .ac3 file. When I take the repaired .ac3 file into Maestro and burn, the audio is always out of sync??? Any help on this would be hugely appreciated.
Again, I can get working copies using any 1 of the above 3 tutorials... but my final desired result is:
2 DVD-R's with perfect quality (no encoding) and with my own custom menu at the beginning of each part. Need sync'd .m2v and .ac3 files especialy for disk 2.
Thanks

This might not help you, but in Doom9 "Split a DVD to 2 DVD-Rs" guide (on the end) there is link to Final Procedures where is somthing about "Final sector adjustments". I don't know too much about these steps but... who knows. It might help you.

For now that's the way I do things, but a starting pic menu would be nice (if I could only get the .m2v and .ac3 files of disc2 into Maestro without the audio sync)... but oh well, looks like no ones got a way of doing this. Thanks anyways.

So... did you try "Final sector adjustments" and then using your updatet files ? (again, I am not sure what that does)

spruceup!
it imports m2v and ac3 perfectly and lets you put in pictures,buttons and chapters then compiles it all ready to burn.

p.s let me know if you need it. -
Oh I see what your saying now donpedro. Use "Final sector adjustments" then rip the .m2v and .ac3 file from that. Yes, I've done that, because I have actually burned the whole dir to a +RW then tried ripping through Decryptor to see if Smartripper was the problem. The stand slone DVD of disc2 works fine, the audios actually in sync. But the .ac3 file always comes back after ripping with a parsing error?
So no, doing the final sector adjustments doesn't sync the audio. But I do wonder what exactly the final sector adjustments does accomplish? That was a good idea though, thanks...
