Can I use the pioneer 1.31 firmware on my Cendyne drive? I want to be able to burn Ritek media at 2x. Thanks for your help.

Yes you can because the drive is actually a Pioneer. I have the 1.31 for my DVR-104 loaded up.

I believe you need to first use a different program that makes the drive's firmware a "real" Pioneer before you can upgrade.

i upgraded the cendyne drive with the pioneer firmware before and i didn't need to use any program to make it think that it's a real pioneer drive. So go ahead and try it.

I just upgraded to 1.31 using the normal pioneer firmware with no problem on my cendyne drive.

Where did you download it. I don't want hacked firmware. I want the official Pioneer 1.31 Firmware.
