  1. I am currently trying to rip a dvd which is larger that 4.3GB. I have extracted the necessary audio and sound files using OSEX. My problem is when I have compiled the DVD with the seperate Audio/Video. I don't appear to have any chapters when I preview the disk with DVD Studio.

I have read previous posts with regards to creating markers, but all I am trying to do is keep the original chapters and not create extra ones.

Any help would be much appreciated. This is driving me nuts!!!

  2. Why rack your brain with Chapter markers. If you don't know what you are doing they can be frustration. I would forget about them. Copy the main file and enjoy your DVD.

it is NOT possible to keep your chapter markers unless you keep the total original layout of the dvd (and if its over 4.3 gigs, tough luck) right now we have NO software to keep the original layout while removing other things to make it squeeze under 4.3 gigs in size. if you rip just the video you lose all the chapter marker data it can NOT be retrieved. you HAVE to manually set the markers again in dvd studio pro if you want them back. if you ripped the video to chapters it would pause .25 seconds between every chapter even if u select no pause..... and please dont post back sayin thing like "are you sure there is no way" because i know for a fact that we cant w/o the help of a program like ifoedit in nature.. and we dont have one yet.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine

Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.
